Greeting’s all,

We wanted to provide a little update on our plans for the upcoming summer season!

We have been focusing a lot of time and energy on our retail space at The Fuller Co Op to make it the best space it can be! We have created a happy and approachable place where people can allway’s find us rain hail or shine, to discuss their visions for potential artworks, purchase any of the artworks we have on display, or simply come and browse! Currently the gallery is open every Thursday / Friday / Saturday 9am – 3pm, however due to a big shift in our personal life, from November we will be opening Fridays / Saturday’s only. If you haven’t checked out our gallery at the Co Op yet, come and say hey! We are just one business in a collective of 12 small businesses trading at The Co Op, and are conveniently located opposite Paper Route Coffee, who make the best coffee in Bunbury hands down.

Until November, I will continue to use this space as a studio on weekdays, so if you can’t make it to the gallery during our opening hours, there’s a fair chance I will be in the shop painting. Feel free to send me a message on 0433427312 or shoot us an email, I am allways happy to open the shop for you.

Which brings me to our next update, In the next few months our little family will be growing from two to three! (plus Siddy the Dog so 4 total). We will both be taking a few weeks off in November to soak in the birth of our daughter and enjoy this special period in our lives. For these couple of weeks Jake’s lovely mother Angie will be supervising our shop at The Fuller Co Op, and will be therefore open as usual Fridays and Saturdays 9am – 3pm.

As you can imagine, the later half of this year is going to be a bit of a whirl wind. The December period is allway’s a busy time, with many people requesting custom made artworks in time for Christmas. If you are planning to or would like to commission a custom made artwork from us as a Christmas gift, please don’t wait until December. Get in touch with us now to kick start the commissioning process, to ensure you don’t miss out! There’s absolutely no time like the present! The best way to do this is to send us an email at oldcoaststudio@gmail.com, or come and talk to us in person at The Co Op.

We’re happy to announce we will be returning to the market circuit this summer season. We will be back at both the fortnightly Bunbury Markets and Dunsborough Central Markets, as well as the monthly Boyanup Farmers Market. We allway’s announce on our socials what markets we will be at and when, so make sure your following us on social media for the latest updates on our whereabouts!

We’ve also been working hard on expanding our online platforms, and now have an online shop feature on our website. On the ‘Shop’ page, you will find a range of hand made artwork that is available to purchase, and can be shipped Australia Wide! Leave us a note when you checkout and we will happily provide free gift wrapping with a customised gift note. This feature is also available on our Etsy shop through the following link. https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/OldCoastStudio?ref=shop_sugg

Finally, Jake will be showing his work at a few sculpture events in Perth and the South West Region this season. The first of which is the Castaways event in Rockingham in late October, which features sculptural works constructed of recycled materials. We will provide exhibition dates on our social media pages in the next few weeks!

As allway’s, feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions or enquiries, and thank you to everyone for your continued support :).
