Do we take commissions?

Yes, we work with our clients to create one off pieces designed and fabricated specifically for them. If you have a project in mind, contact us at oldcoaststudio@gmail.com to find out how we can bring it to life.

Do we have a showroom?

Yes, our showroom is located inside The Fuller Co Op at 9 Dodson Rd Glen Iris WA. We have a constantly rotating range of wall sculptures, freestanding sculptures metal art pieces on display that are all available for purchase. We are open Thursdays 9am - 1pm and Friday/Saturday 9am - 3pm.

Do we work with clients outside of WA?

Yes, we work with clients all over Australia, and can arrange phone consultations to discuss your project. We work with trusted couriers to deliver our artwork anywhere in the country.

Will I receive a design before I commit to commissioning a piece?

Yes, we always provide our clients with a digital sketch of the final artwork for approval before we fabricate it. All designs are the property of Old Coast Studio.

What materials do we work with?

We work with a a range of steel products, including Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Corten Steel and Aluminium. We can also incorporate other materials such as natural timber or found object into many of our designs. The materials chosen for each project are tailored specifically to both the aesthetic and practical needs of our clients.

Can we give you a pricing estimate for commission project’s?

We work on a very wide range of commission project’s, and every one of them is different. Often we can provide clients with a ballpark figure for their desired project prior to coming up with a design . However more accurate costing will be sent once the design is agreed upon. For an idea of pricing of previous works view our gallery of images, where most images are captioned with materials and price.

What are our terms of payment?

We require a 30% deposit of the full amount quoted prior to fabrication. The full amount will then be due within 7 days of delivery/installation, and can either be payed via direct debt or in person (we have EFTPOS facilities) at our showroom in Glen Iris.

Do we deliver/install?

Yes, we offer free delivery for any commission piece in the Bunbury area. Pickup can also be arranged from our showroom in Glen Iris. If installation is required, a fee will be calculated based on installation time and materials required. Goods that require courier delivery will be quoted prior to fabrication.

What maintenance is required of my Old Coast Studio piece?

Maintenance is subject to the steel/materials and the conditions in which your Old Coast Studio piece is displayed. Upon delivery/pickup will will provide you with advise on how to best maintain your Old Coast Studio piece, or contact us at oldocoststudio@gmail.com if you have any questions about your specific artwork.

Do you do location visits to measure the the space?

If detailed measurements are required, we can certainly arrange a complementary site visit within the Bunbury area / South West area.

How do I hang an Old Coast Studio Wall Art piece?

All our wall art pieces are equipped with a hanging bar or hook on the back, and can simply be slotted over a screw or hook on the wall.

How long will it take to produce my work?

Signs / We know that you don't want to wait around for months and months for your signage to be ready, so we aim to have your custom signage made within 3 weeks of order. This completion timeline is increased for high volume orders or more complex designs.

Sculptures and outdoor features / Lead time for custom made sculptures and outdoor features varies depending on the size and complexity of the work. An approximate lead time will be provided with your quote.

Do you offer lighting?

LEDs / Adding lighting to your work is a great way to make sure it stands out. We often incorporate LED strip lighting into our signs and wall works to create a backlit effect. Spot lighting is a great way to highlight sculptural works and can be incorporated into the design for added effect. Lighting can either be 240 volt or 12 volt solar depending on your situation.
