Laughing Kookaburra's Wall Sculpture, Speckled

'Laughing Kookaburras' depicts two kookaburra's sitting on a branch, laughing and gazing at each other. We wanted to create an artwork that celebrates this iconic bird, and showcase their whimsical personalities.

This artwork is made from mild steel, which has been painted with metal paint, giving it a beautiful dark appearance. The dark colour is offset by a bright pop of ultramarine blue behind the tail and chest, with the body of the kookaburra's painted a dark grey which distinguishes them from the dark background. Flecks of mid grey paint are then flicked over the dark black background, achieving a beautifully subtle speckled effect.

This artwork measures 90cm length x 75cm Height x 8cm Depth. It is equipped with a metal bar on the back for easy hanging.

'Laughing Kookaburras' is safe to go outdoors, however we recommend displaying this artwork out of direct weather, such as a patio or sheltered decking, to ensure it’s longevity.
